Wedding Hair Trends for 2018
As wedding season approaches, we are starting to think about the bridal styles that will be popular this year. If the catwalks are anything to go by, we think the following trends will be super popular for 2018 wedding hair. If you are only just beginning to think about your wedding hair, we hope you will find some inspiration below.
Whilst slides, hairbands and clips will always remain popular for adding some glamour, this year is set to see a move away from the heavier hair accessories in favour of subtle and more casual ribbons. This will add a really gentle and delicate look to any bride and will complement almost any kind of dress. You could even co-ordinate the ribbon in your hair with any you are using in your bouquet.
The Edgier Look
These days, we are fortunate that anything goes when it comes to weddings, so if you are a fashion forward kind of bride, don't be afraid to break the rules. Looking at the photos from the work I did at New York Fashion week, the slicked back look was all over the catwalk and we are sure to see this transition into bridal hair fashion too.
Imagine a relaxed summer boho style wedding. Flowing beachy waves topped off with a flower crown or natural subtle detailing in the hair. I can already see this being a favourite with my bridal hair clients this year. This is always a great look for bridesmaids too. Florals for hair are also set to stay as a big trend for bridal hair in 2018.
Take It Up
The chignon is going nowhere in 2018. With variations on this classic style to suit each bride, we can see why it is a popular choice. It also works perfectly with a range of accessories and veils.
