Great Hair On The Run
Many of my clients lead extremely busy lives, whether it’s trying to balance your work and
family life, feeling like yourself whilst looking after a baby or keeping up with a busy social
life, everyone wants to look and feel their best.
Ultimately, everyone aims to have lovely shiny, healthy hair that hangs flatteringly. Over the
years I have learnt what it takes to do so and so I am going to share some tips on how to achieve great hair on the run.
1. Use a clarifying shampoo – once every 1-2 weeks.
Your hair builds up all of the products you apply over time and gradually your hair will begin to feel dull and less shiny. Clarifying shampoo helps strip all of the unwanted products from your hair, leaving it looking fresh and new.
2. Use a natural-bristle hairbrush
For best results, using a natural hairbrush will help draw natural oils from your roots to the ends of your hair, leaving it feeling glossy, shiny and full of volume.
3. Leave a little condition in curly hair
The shape of curly hair usually makes it difficult for your natural oils to travel from your scalp to your ends, which often means your hair feels dry. My advice is to leave in some conditioner after the shower, this not only softens your locks but makes it much easier to brush through whilst its wet and causes less damage.
4. Heat defence
I cannot advise heat defence enough. If you regularly apply heat to your hair, you should protect it. Applying heat to your hair daily will leave your hair feeling dry and looking less- than-glossy. If you need any advice on what my favourite heat defence products are, just ask!
If you follow these steps you should begin to see a change with your natural hair, leaving
you feeling more confident with your shiny, healthy hair from day-to-day.
